Luke 1:31

One of my favorite scriptures in all the Bible.  The first proclamation of our Savior's personal Name.  Jesus.  The very Name at which every knee will bow one day.  The very Name that every tongue will one day confess.  A Name that has no parallel in my vocabulary.  A Name by which I've made every single prayerful petition of my life.  A Name that has meant my absolute salvation, not only from eternal destruction, but from myself.  A Name with power like no other Name.  Jesus.

Best Party Punch Ever & Recipe Link Up

Hi friends and welcome to another Tasty Tuesday!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today is a re-post for 2 reasons.

1.)  The week before Christmas is almost crazier than the week of Christmas.

2.)  This punch would be perfect for any upcoming Christmas parties, well worth the re-post.

While the Mr. and I were still dating I attended my first family get together with him where this punch was served. My life was changed ya'll. Not only did I end up marrying into that precious family that I adore, but I also met the most delicious punch I've ever tasted.

Since then I have asked for the recipe no less than 239018 times because I am constantly scribbling it down on scraps of paper and then losing it. (Mother in law-I apologize for that). Every single time I have made it I have had dozens of requests for the recipe, and this past weekend I made it for a bridal shower where the bride not only begged for the recipe for her upcoming wedding reception, but also requested a straw to drink it right out of the punch bowl.

Right there with you girl.

This one is hands down my favorite party punch, not only is it delicious and super simple as it's made the day before the event, it can also be made any color depending on what flavor of Jello you choose. Make this one for your next get together, and have copies of the recipe on hand. Trust me....you're going to need them.

Here's what you'll need...

Printable Recipe
2 small boxes of any flavor of Jello (in these pictures I used Lime)
1 cup boiling water
1 large can (46 oz.) Pineapple juice
1 can (12 oz.) frozen Orange juice
1 cup sugar
10 cups water
1 2 liter bottle of Sprite

Start by dissolving the Jello boxes with the boiling water.

Then simply add all the other ingredients EXCEPT the Sprite, mix well, and freeze.

Remove from the freezer 2 hours before serving, and let it thaw on the counter. Then add the 2 liter bottle of Sprite and mix it in. It will still be slushy.

And here is the delicious finished product. Enjoy!

Ruffled Wreath DIY

If you're looking for a new Christmas wreath and have a stack of Christmas movies to plow through this holiday season then look no further!  While this isn't a quick project, it is a worthwhile one because it turns out gorgeous and is super simple to make!  I know it's not for everyone, but I really enjoy mindless, tedious and repetitive activities like this that don't require much thinking!  Pop in a movie or favorite tv show marathon and just cozy in for an evening craft-this is my kind of night.

If this is your idea of fun too, here's what you'll need…

-Foam wreath form (size of your choice)
-Straight pins (lots of straight pins)
-4 yards of felt, color your choice

Begin by making a kajillion circles out of the felt.  (Kajillion is a technical term here)  I used a plastic cup as a tracing tool and just traced around it and cut it out.  You can use a fancy fabric circle cutter if you have one, I just don't.  I'm pretty basic in the old fashion trace and scissors kind of way…

Now take a circle and fold it in half.

And fold that half circle in half again.

Now pick it up and stick your pin through all 4 layers of felt.

Then attach them to the wreath, close enough that you get a full look, but not so close that they look "scrunched".  You'll play with it and figure out the look you like.

I find it easier to begin on the inside of the form and work your way out.

After you've done the whole form you'll have something that looks similar to this…my favorite Christmas wreath so far!  I'm even considering making a white one for Winter!

Tasty Tuesday Christmas Party Pinwheels & Recipe Link Up

Hi friends and welcome to another Tasty Tuesday!!  I'm so glad you're here!  I'm so sorry you did not receive an email reminder for the party last week!  I was sick as I was posting last week and I was down the rest of the week.  I'm so excited to be back today!

Since I've been sick for the past week, the Mr. has been a rockstar about…well just everything really.  He has taken care of everything, including me, so well.  The boxes of Christmas decorations have just piled up around us since I haven't felt well enough to actually put them up, and he hasn't complained once.  So as I was down on the couch for hours on end I came up with a plan, and last night I got to execute it.  I would surprise the Mr. with a tree-trimming night with festive appetizers for dinner, his favorite cookies, and old television Christmas episodes.  It was such a fun night and such a sweet memory! The recipe I'm sharing with you was a new one I tried out on him tonight, but was such a huge hit I can't imagine serving appetizers for dinner again without this one included!

Here's what you'll need...

-8 oz. cream cheese, softened
-1 packet ranch dressing mix
-flour tortillas
-3 green onion tops, chopped
-1 red bell pepper, chopped
-1 green bell pepper, chopped

Begin by combining the cream cheese with dressing packet.  You can use the back of a spatula for this, but I'm rather impatient and just used a hand mixer.

Next, chop up all the veggies in a small dice.

Spread a tortilla with a very thin layer of the cream cheese mixture.

Sprinkle on the peppers and onion.  Then roll up and wrap in plastic wrap and toss in the fridge for a few hours to let them chill completely.

After they've chilled just slice them up!
SO yummy and so pretty!!!
