Hi friends and welcome to another Tasty Tuesday, I'm so glad you're here!
I think there's something so special about truffles.
Maybe it's the name-truffles-sounds fancy.
Maybe it's the personalized touch to it.
Maybe it's like eating a specially made candy or dessert that's just for me.
Whatever it is, it took me years to be "brave" enough to try to make them myself. I still laugh about that because little did I know they could not be simpler to make. Today I have combined the fancy-ness of a truffle with my Valentines love of chocolate chip cookie dough. Get ready for one of the most yummy, impressive desserts you'll ever make that doesn't require 30 minutes or an oven.
Here's what you'll need...
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons milk
1 cup chocolate chips, plus additional 1 cup for coating
Simply combine all ingredients (except for 1 cup of chocolate chips for coating) with a hand or stand mixer until fully combined.
Shape into dough balls (after you eat some of course) and place on a baking sheet. Freeze until harden, about 15-20 minutes.
Next simply put 1 cup of chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until smooth and melted. Then dip the cookie dough balls in the melted chocolate and shake off the excess. While the chocolate is still wet shake on any sprinkles you want, or melt some white chocolate and drizzle on top.
